Daniel Boone Fan Fiction

Short Stories and Novels

Disclaimer: The following work has been written solely for the enjoyment of fans and not for monetary profit. The rights to the characters initially created for the Daniel Boone series belong to 20th Century Fox and Fess Parker. All other characters are of the author's own creation. No copyright violation is intended.

If you like what you read here, please take the time to let the authors know. Writing is a fun kind of work, and is even more fun when the hard work is acknowledged in some way. If there's an e-mail link in the credit section of a story, simply click on it and give a bit of feedback to the author.  If you don't care to send an e-mail, you can leave feedback in the Guestbook.

Be sure to check out the new Fan Poetry section, too!

If you've written a piece of Daniel Boone fic and you'd like to submit it for posting on this web site, please write to me with a brief summary of your fic, poem, or artwork.

Here are some basic guidelines:

Know your target audience.  Daniel Boone was produced to be an entertaining family show with strong moral values.  Anything published on DanielBooneTV.com should reflect those values.

Respect the characters as they were created and developed by the writers, cast and crew of Daniel Boone.  None of us has the right to significantly alter a character's personality, back-story, physical traits, ethics, etc.

Stories that contain graphic violence and/or sexual situations will not be accepted for publication.

No slash.

Do not kill off a main character.

Use proper grammar and spell check your work. Double-check it yourself to catch the mistakes spell check didn't.

Lastly...

Contrary to the misinformation that is being circulated, I do not ask for or expect exclusive publishing rights to submitted fan material. I would greatly appreciate your help in correcting this misinformation by directing confused fans here.

The only time I ask a writer to remove his/her work from another site is when the submitted piece requires significant editing to bring it to a final, publishable version.   The majority of the fics submitted for publication require only minor tweaking to correct a few punctuation errors, misspellings, or continuity problems, so I seldom have to make this request.

Once any editing is completed to my satisfaction and that of the writer, I have no problem with simultaneous publication. Many of the fics, poems, sketches, and paintings that are on my site can also be found other places on the web for fans to discover and enjoy. There are also sites with DB fic that doesn't appear on my site. That's OK, too.

Be well!

Karen D.
